Dear Someone in Need

Dear Someone in Need,

I don’t know if you’ll ever read this or if you’d even care, but I’m sorry. I’m sorry that you’re not living the life you wanted. It hurts to know that you’re not well. I’m sorry that some people in your life didn’t treat you like they should. I’m sorry if you feel like the world is against you, but age isn’t an excuse to stop yourself from being happy. It’s not an excuse to be bitter. If you want to hang out with family, go do it. No one is going to stop you. If you want to make friends, take a leap.

You try so hard to act like you don’t care about what people think, but I know you do. That’s fine, but it’s not okay to let their opinions of you stop you from being the person you want to be. Go out into the world. Be happy. Live freely. Live every day like it’s your last. Even though you may fall, there’s always a way for life to be better. It’s fine to be sad for a while, but don’t stay in that dark place.

People care. There’s always someone when you least expect it. No matter what you’re going through, you’re not the only one. You are not alone.
